About the position:

We’re growing and are looking to add a Network Engineer to our team!

The Network Engineer will report to the Technical Support Manager and will act as a liaison between our Support and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will take a self-directed approach to problem solving, have a passion for technology and has previous experience working with a wireless or ISP provider. Responsibilities:

  • Handling phone service calls from clients requiring assistance
  • Providing remote technical support to all clients at various different support levels
  • Responding to technical alert notifications on client servers and network appliances
  • Creating and managing technical tickets
  • Managing IT-related alerts and notifications
  • Providing technical support services to Servers, Network Appliances, and End-Users
  • Coordinating with other team members
  • Working to build best-in-breed managed technical solutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of senior level technical support experience, working with customer to diagnose issues and striving for resolution
  • High school diploma or relevant college program
  • In-depth knowledge of network concepts, devices, and protocols
  • Expert level knowledge with industry network protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, Wireless LANs and VPN)
  • Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Juniper
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Creative problem solver with solid troubleshooting skills
  • Customer service orientation

Nice to have:

  • CCNA, CCIE, CCNP designations
